Family Class (Beginner)

Rank: All ages and ranks

This class is for kids and parents of all ranks, ages 6 and up. It is designed to teach karate basics, including blocking, punching, kicking, strong stances, kata (forms), and kumite (sparring / fighting). It's a unique opportunity for children and parents to experience the martial arts together.

The Beginner Family Class has two semesters a year:

Day/Time

Thursday, 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Fees

$125 / student / semester (to a maximum of $350 per family)

Family Class (Intermediate)

Rank: Yellow and up

Starting in September 2022, it was decided that all students yellow belt and up would require two nights of training (Family Beginner and Family Intermediate Classes) in order to develop good technique and foundations for karate. This class is for older kids at higher ranks.  It challenges them with more intense and advanced training than the regular family class.

For added fitness, any member registered in the Intermediate Family Class is welcome to stay in the Adult Class (immediately following) and join in the warmup.

Monday, 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Thursday, 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Fees

$150 / student / semester (to a maximum of $350 per family)
