This class is the flagship of Three Elements Karate. The co-ed adult class is open to anybody 14 years of age or older. With three to four hours of training available each week, everybody has a chance to advance at their own pace. Coloured belts are dismissed at 9pm and black belts train an extra half hour. Coloured belts are welcomed and encouraged to use the extra half hour to do independent training.
Minimum age for the Adult Class is 14.
Adult Class has three semesters a year:
Fall: September 10, 2026 - December 21, 2026
Winter: January - April - Starts: January 7, 2027
Spring/Summer: May - August - Starts: May 3, 2027

This class is for kids and parents of all ranks, ages 6 and up. It is designed to teach karate basics, including blocking, punching, kicking, strong stances, kata (forms), and kumite (sparring / fighting). It's a unique opportunity for children and parents to experience the martial arts together.
The Beginner Family Class has two semesters a year:
Fall: September 10th, 2026 - January 21, 2027
Winter: February 4th, 2027- June 10, 2027

This class is designed for older and more experienced students who are ready for a faster-paced and more advanced training environment. Training focuses on developing stronger technique, deeper karate fundamentals, increased fitness, and preparing students for higher-rank expectations.
Eligibility is generally limited to students holding a yellow belt or higher; however, participation is by instructor invitation only. While belt rank is one factor, instructors also consider a student's age, maturity, focus, and readiness for the pace and intensity of the class when extending invitations.
For added fitness, any member registered in the Intermediate Family Class is welcome to stay in the Adult Class (immediately following) and join in the warmup.
The Intermediate Family Class has two semesters a year:
Fall: September 10th, 2026 - January 25th, 2027
Winter: February 1, 2027- June - 14, 2027

$160 / student / semester (to a maximum of $375 per family)

Fees are on a per-person basis. All fees are paid primarily through eTransfer and can be sent to info@threeElementsKarate.com. If you require an alternate means of payment, please speak to an instructor. All prices are based on a semester of classes.
To ensure families are able to participate, we have a maximum fee of $375 per family for the Family (Beginner and Intermediate) classes. Please speak to an instructor if you have any questions.
This karate club is part of a larger organization, the Shintani Wado Kai Karate Federation (SWKKF), and as such there is a $84.00 (includes GST) annual fee to this organization. SWKKF fees are collected at the beginning of the fall semester. This is above any beyond the semester fees.
Gi - (uniforms)
A gi is the traditional karate training uniform. All new students who are fully registered (registration form filled out and fees paid) will be gifted a gi.
